INDIVIDUAL PLANS

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan offers an individual health plan to Michigan residents and their families. Residents are guaranteed coverage regardless of any pre-existing health conditions. The plan includes hospital, surgical, medical, accident and Rx coverage. Maternity is also included.

  • 70/30 Coverage (In-Network)-Maximum of $2500 Out-of-Pocket (In Network)
  • Comprehensive Hospital, Surgical, Medical Coverage
  • Rx Prescription Drug Coverage-50% Coverage up to $2500 per person (Blue Cross Network Pharmacies)
  • Emergency Care-Hospital & Doctor
  • Preventative & Diagnostic Services
  • Mental Health/ Substance Abuse
  • Maternity Care-Physician Services (Delivery and New Born Exam)
  • Guaranteed Coverage for Michigan Residents < age 65, not on Medicare, who do not have group health coverage.
  • Pre-existing health conditions are covered after 180 days. However, this waiting period may be waived if you have had prior group health insurance. (See enclosed Waiver of Pre-existing Exclusion page.)

GROUP PLANS

If you are self-employed, you may qualify for a group health plan. Single person (family) self-employed must belong to the Chamber of Commerce to qualify. Click below for full information.
