The HSA has two components: (1) A qualified high deductible ($1100--$5000) health insurance policy; your choice of deductibles. (2) A medical savings account with tax advantages; the savings account can be used to pay for most medical expenses on a tax-free basis. Medical coverage is paid at 80% or 100% after your deductible.

Short-Term Major Medical*

Short-Term Major Medical provides you with low-cost temporary hospital, surgical, medical, and accident coverage. Benefits are paid at an 80% coverage level after your deductible. Pre-existing conditions are not covered by short-term medical insurance.

All quotations for medical insurance presume that you and/or dependents are in good health and are within standard height/weight guidelines. If any person has pre-existing medical conditions, or require expensive medications, the rates could be higher, or coverage may be denied.
